RTG Postdoctoral Fellows through an National Science Foundation Research Training Group (RTG) award: “Laboratory and Mathematical Fluid Dynamics, Experiments, Computation, and Modeling.” One year appointments may begin July 1, 2008 (or sooner), renewable for up to 2 additional years based on satisfactory performance. Candidates must be United States Citizens, or permanent resident aliens, and should have received a doctorate in applied mathematics, mathematics, physics, engineering, or a closely related field. The duties of this position include participating in experimental, computational, and modeling research centered around the laboratory fluid dynamics experiments in the UNC mathematics and physics departments. Additional duties include a 1-1 mathematics course teaching load.
